02How we use them
We keep this short on purpose. Avian BD only uses its own cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell your data, and no third-party tracker runs on this site.
Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the site cannot work without them. Analytics cookies are off until you allow them.
03Strictly necessary
These make sign-in, the cart, the wishlist and checkout work. They don't need your consent.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| better-auth.session_token | Keeps you signed in to your account. Secure, HttpOnly — scripts on the page cannot read it. | Cookie (first-party) | 24 hours, or 30 days if you tick “Remember me” |
| better-auth.dont_remember | Remembers that you chose not to stay signed in, so your session ends on time. | Cookie (first-party) | Browser session |
| better-auth.state | Protects “Sign in with Google” against forged requests. | Cookie (first-party) | A few minutes, during sign-in only |
| avian_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask on every page. | Cookie (first-party) | 6 months |
| avian-cart-v1 | Holds your shopping cart while you browse as a guest. | Session storage | Until you close the tab |
| avian-wishlist-v1 | Saves the bouquets you add to your wishlist. | Local storage | Until you remove them or clear site data |
On the live site the session cookie name carries a __Secure- prefix, meaning browsers only send it over HTTPS.
04Analytics (optional)
Only used if you choose “Accept all” or switch Analytics on. The count is anonymous — it is not linked to you or your account.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| viewed:<product> | Makes sure a product page view is counted only once per tab, so we can see which bouquets are popular. | Session storage | Until you close the tab |
05Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Your new choice applies straight away. We'll also ask again after six months, or if this policy changes.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you won't be able to sign in or check out.
